1 Service Nature

This tool uses AI and OCR technology to assist in extracting data from receipts. It is not a substitute for professional accounting advice. While we strive for high accuracy, you are responsible for verifying all GST amounts and Total amounts comply with the Goods and Services Tax Act 1985 (NZ).

2 Data Accuracy & "Manual Review" Status

Our system calculates the GST ratio (GST Amount ÷ Total Amount) to flag potential issues:

  • Normal (12.8% - 15.2%): GST appears to be within the standard NZ 15% range.
  • Manual Review: GST ratio is outside normal range or explicitly $0 (zero-rated). You must verify manually.
  • Calculated: GST was auto-calculated using Total × 3/23 formula.

The "Manual Review" status is a warning system, not a legal guarantee. Always verify against original receipts before filing with IRD.

3 Data Privacy

Your receipts are stored securely for your retrieval. We do not sell your financial data to third parties. Phone numbers (+64/+86) and emails are collected solely for account authentication and security purposes.

4 Limitation of Liability

Important: To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, the developer and operator of this service shall NOT be held liable for any tax penalties, interest, audits initiated by the IRD, or financial losses resulting from incorrect data extraction.

5 Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of New Zealand.
